• It is a matter of audio taste. My Ram factory system in my truck has way more bass than these Polk speakers. Hope that puts it in perspective.

• While these speakers have great sound, I would recommend a subwoofer for the best experience.

• Polk Audio S15 speakers produce a wide frequency range considering their size. Feeling the need to add a subwoofer may depend on room size, type of music or movies you like to watch, desired volume levels, etc.

• Only if you want low end bass. I have these speakers as surround speakers paired with the S35 center, S55 Towers and HTS12 subwoofer.
