- Answer The earpiece doesn't have a designated button to activate text-messaging; However, you may be able to use the headset for voice text messaging as long as the app supports Bluetooth devices.

- Answer If your car doesn’t have a USB port, you would have to buy the USB that plugs into your lighter in your car/suv and charge it that way.

- Answer Just press the call button continuously til you hear the automated voice that says "pairing". Make sure bluetooth is enable in your phone or device. Plantronics name should appear and just start pairing or connect.

- Answer Integrated charge port (no tiny magnetic adapter to keep up with), integration with a phone app that will help you find it if lost in your house and shows you remaining minutes on battery, firmware updates, etc. and it will connect to two devices. (2 Phones and laptop or car etc)

- Answer Unfortunately no. There is only 1 x RJ9 Headset Jack, and no Bluetooth connector. You can use a standard QD headset + Polycom RJ9 adapter cable for wired headset.

QuestionJust purchased VL 5220 Using cable direct to headset w/usb wall connection (from my other VL) to charge it. Is there a light indicator? I don't see one. Should I assume it will be charged in 90 min? I don't want to have to set a timer....LOL.

- Answer Hi! The indicator light should be right above the power switch. Please make sure you're using a 5-volt wall charger. It takes approximately 90 minutes to fully charge the headset; the indicator light turns off once charging is complete. If you're not getting any lights right from the beginning, and it doesn't respond, then please try using a different micro-USB cable to isolate the cause of the issue. Was the headset purchased brand new? Did the packaging present any tear or evident tampering? Please rest assured that we take the quality of our products very seriously, and scenarios like these are very unlikely.
