• I believe the cable is about 10 ft, its thick and braided as well, I like it. As for the wired vs wireless, I think wired is still faster as far as controllers go, but probably not by much, also this controller has No wireless, is wired only.

• The controller has to be plugged in to work. It does not have wireless capabilites.

• The cable is around 12ft long. You might be able to get a wireless adapter but I don't personally use one so I'm not fully sure if there are any that are compatible.
