“Just about all the air fryers I have seen use rubber-ish stoppers to hold the frying tray tightly in place, but the photos provided don't seem to indicate this.for the unit. Are they part of the design, or not?”

The PowerXL 10qt air fryer does not use the silicone feet to hold the drip tray. This unit had a drip tray that slides in similar to an oven rack.
