Isld We recommend using a surge suppressor with this equipment to decrease the risk of damage to the treadmill in case of a power surge. The on/off switch does have a “Tripped” indication where the switch protrudes and would need to be reset before powering on again. Powering off each time is a good way to protect and save your machine. You can even switch off the surge suppressor, but this is not required. For more information, email us at [email protected]. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure what will preserve the machine more, however the machine has a sleep mode where it automatically goes into a dimmed screen saver after a couple minutes of inactivity.
