The size is 8.5 x 8.5 is a good size enough to move the mouse without problem

You can definitely do that. It’s medium sized I’d say. If you’re looking for something bigger I’d definitely get something else. But this is perfect for travel.

This mousepad measures 7.9 H x 8.7 W x 0.1 D inches. So, yes, it has a large enough area on which to make a circular motion.
