Can the ram be upgraded? null

Yes, the RAM can be upgraded. There are lots of great YouTube videos on how to upgrade the RAM, just do a search. You also don't need to buy the high priced QNAP branded RAM, I went with the Crucial, 8gb for less than $60. You can upgrade it up to 16gb based on what I've read, but it depends on how you're using. For me, I rarely hit 20% memory usage while transcoding, so 8gb was more than enough.

I bought the 2GB version.. Ordered a 8GB kit and installed = device detects it, works great.. CT2KIT51264BF160B = Crucial Kit#
