You don't need to record your checks in a spreadsheet, you record them directly into the software. You can do this for multiple accounts, no problem. We even treat our credit card accounts like a checking account, in terms of entry, by entering each one as a transaction and then reconciling every month. But you can, if you like, export the check entries to a spreadsheet format. But you won't want to, once you start using the software.
