You can install the same purchase of Quicken on both Windows and Mac computers. Please note, however, that while you can convert your file from Windows to Mac or vice versa, you can’t use the same file on both computers; you’ll need two separate data files. Thanks.

I was really disappointed in that a lot of the functionality went away and much data was lost in the transfer with the upgrade. I think most of that is attributable to the Mac version. Admittedly, the Mac version was a lot faster at updating accounts than the Windows version, but the functionality loss is painful especially not being able to see employee stock options. The subscription did allow me to download the new Windows version which does have the old functionality. However, I wouldn't waste your time upgrading yet as the Windows version had very little in the way of upgrades relative to the old version I was using. But you''re right the Mac version is bad as always.
