No backup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no. It doesn't have battery backup ranchio specs: In the event of Wi-Fi outage or intermittency, the controller’s memory retains the last saved schedule received from the Rachio cloud and maintains the schedule until an update can be downloaded.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no backup battery but your settings are saved to the cloud with Rachio so when power is restored it resyncs. The system does not work however if there is no power to the box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the power goes out, the controller will not operate. If WiFi goes out...the controller will not operate. Most if not all timers don't have a battery back up. Of course...even WITH a battery backup...all that can be accomplished is for the timer to retain its settings. You cannot operate your pump and zones with a 9V. battery back up. The Rachio uses the Cloud to retain its settings. Once the power restores....the timers reconnects with the wifi and establishes the proper settings. I bought one this month...and I absolutely LOVE the darn thing! I also bought a Amazon Echo to work with it...and I couldn't be more pleased. My neighbor was so mesmerized with my excitement...that HE went out and bought one as well!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not have a backup battery, but all programming is stored so if you do lose power or internet none of the settings are lost.
