• It's over twice as long as the Escort cord, I can't imagine you'd have an issue with reaching your detector. Radenso also sells a direct wire kit that seems to have a lot of length.

• It is long enough. I have one in my Tesla Model 3, and I have no issues with the cord reaching the port.
