M.2 NVME SSD or Solid State Drives are very easy to add. Don't want to open your Laptop? Simple, for around $20 you can purchase an SSD to USB-C ENCLOSURE whereupon you simply add the SSD such as a Samsung 970 1 TB 2280 (2280 denotes size or length) right into the enclosure and plug it into the USB-C and you have an instant External SSD drive. I myself use both methods as it is easy to remove the 11 screws, gently pull out the battery power plug, slip a new SSD into the empty slot (if it comes with a thin blue pad, place that under the SSD as it helps with heat dissipation) , use the single screw to hold it there, plug battery back in and put cover back on -DONE.

It is real simple tho to change a M.2 drive, almost as simple as say changing a SD card in a Samsung phone. You require nothing but a 8 dollar tool kit from a hardware store or Walmart, with tiny star heads. The M.2 looks like a large SD chip, u take the one screw out of the back, it will move up in the air about 2 inches, you just pull it out, and push the new one in, just as you pull out the old one note which way its facing. My guess is best buy would charge u 100 bucks to do that.
