The keyboard and mouse come with an easy to set up dock which you just pop them in and they will recharge. The magnetic mouse pad will not affect your computer, it's just enough to keep your mouse from sliding if you have the setup on your lap and it's not flat.

The batteries for the mouse and keyboard are built-in rechargeables, and the charging station is packaged inside as well. As far as magnets go, I didn't notice anything interfering with anything else. I don't even know what magnets you are worried about. All in all, this product is pretty good. Only thing I have a problem with is the mouse pad portion of the keyboard. The "skin" of the mouse pad had some air bubbled in it and it ended up peeling right off on the first day, exposing the smooth surface below. It still works fine, but it looks a little jank because it didn't peel off uniformly. The smooth surface is mostly matte, but there are uneven sections that are shiny as well. I tried for quite some time to peel the rest away, but I was just making it worse and worse so I left it as is. Other than that, no problems.
