Because the Logitech inventory of devices gives you the discrete codes for your devices, it eliminates having to setup macros and unnecessary steps to be programmed in.
I have five activities set up on my Smart Control remote.
When I press one activity button, I can turn on my TV, switch inputs, turn on my soundbar, and switch inputs on my preamp.
Pressing another activity button will shut off the TV and soundbar, switch the inputs on my preamp, and activate my CD player.
I love this thing!
