Try going into your TV settings within you HDTV, of course via your remote. Since it appears this question was months ago - perhaps you don't have this issue anymore. But I had the same problem but after resetting all channels and taking out the channels I don't watch, I had no problem getting channel 8. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to tvfool.com. Put in zip code to see what channels you can get. I'm not sure what channel 8 is, but NBC is hard for me to get.

Also Channel 8's tower may be too far away from you. Check out https://www.tablotv.com/tools/ to see what channels are available within the range of your antenna. Most of these antennas are good for 25, 50 or 75 miles in perfect conditions.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is likely that you're having a directional issue. Mine is very sensitive to which way it is pointed and how the rabbit ears are deployed. I had to readjust mine AND have my TV scan for channels after each adjustment. I find that the higher it is deployed and the closer to an outside window the better.
