“I can only get two channels and sometimes the channel gets distorted. So not sure if is because I live at the bottom of a hill in an apartment complex?. I may need a more powerful one?”

Try different locations for antenna with extended cable.

I've read that placing near a window helps, but I wonder if it helps if the tower is in the opposite direction. I don't know if more power will help. I suspect you need a better location, but one may not be available.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found I was getting interference from my WiFi router which is in the same room as the antenna. Turn off WiFi and test it out as that could be part of the problem for you (your location is likely another issue).
