• It uses a RF in this case. RF coaxial socket. Is your tv a monitor for gaming or PC with only HDMI input or VGA. Some monitor doesn't have RF. HDTV that has TV channel select will have RF in the back of the TV in the video setting, It's needed to scan you local channel if your tv supports antenna or cable.
