• It is capable enough to handle light music production but i'd look more into audio interfaces that're tailored to music

• Absolutely can be used for music production. It also has built in recording for using it without a computer so you can record sessions with less stuff to carry. Only caveat is how many inputs you need, procaster ii has more inputs if you need them

• You can use it for music. But the effects and tone adjustments are embedded in software menus which would make adjustments on the fly unwieldy. I think a more traditional mixer would be better for multitrack music recording. A Mackie ProFX mixer would be better.
