• A:Answer Not without an adapter. Most Huawei smartphones don't have a TRRS jack, which is what this video mice needs to connect. You can buy an TRRS to TRS adapter if you have a Huawei model without it. Or you can look for a third party stand or case with a cold shoe mount for either SC4 or SC7 cables.

• A:Answer Hello, the Galaxy Note 9 should work with the Rode VideoMic Me as it appears to fit some general rules. The Samsung TRRS jack should fit the same order as the VideoMic Me (CTIA - Left, Right, Ground, Microphone), and it appears that the camera is far enough away from that jack.

Q: QuestionWill it work on the s10 plus with a case

• A:Answer Well, I tried it today. RODE Pro with Samsung S10+ and when in video mode, the S10+ does not recognize the Mic. Not sure about the other answer regarding "..with case" means. I assume they mean that the audio adapter can be plugged into the phone that has a case on it. If so then I suppose it depends on which case you have on your phone. The case I have (Defense Shield) did not work.

• A:Answer I am using this for video blogging right now with my Galaxy 9. In running tests with and without the Rode external mic, the Rode audio is much improved over the video files using the phone's internal mic. Whoever is saying this won't work with Android is incorrect. However, I believe you will need to use an aftermarket camera program, such as Open Camera, in order to use the audio from an external mic.
