Here is a YouTube review with the Lumix G85 and the Rode Shotgun. It works and demonstrated the difference in sound quality. You won't need a mixer to shoot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I dont know the camera but the microphone plus into a 3.5mm. I have an older canon dslr and read that the mics on those cameras done have great sound even with the external much so I got a zoom en1 (I think) recorder and I'm editing the video now and matching the sound with the video. It's more tedious but better quality. Other wise the rode mic should easily plug into the camera if you have a 3.5mm Jack.
