A:Answer I had a weak battery that needed to be replaced to begin with. I arrived on a job site and forgot to unplug it from the cigarette lighter. 10 hours later it was still running and recording, however, I couldn't start the truck. I've seen an option on Chevrolet trucks to make the cigarette lighter power off like other accessories like the radio and the power windows. This would be ideal for me. Also, it has a parking feature. Even though unit is unplugged from power, if someone hits your vehicle it will begin recording for a short period of time.
