I would just return and get a new set. All my son did was plug them in and they worked. So I do not know why they wouldn’t be working.

Also check the cable connection to your headset earcups and make sure both are fully pushed into place. • Make sure the RIG audio dial volume control on your headset is set to a proper level; fully clockwise is max volume. • If you prefer to use the volume control on your console mixer, then you can lock your headset inline to the highest level by sliding or rotating to the maximum setting until it clicks. • Check that your chat application volume level is set to the proper level. • If you use game/chat balance, make sure you set your external device or software application to the right mix of both game and chat levels.
