Dolby app is free and included (as a code) with your purchase. Volume is controlled on the know that connects directly into the controller. Further volume can be customized on the dashboard. Just hit the Xbox button on your controller, tab over to volume controls, and mix the audio till your heart's content.

The Dolby Atmos is free to download and install, but you have to buy the specific games that offer Dolby. After installation you will be taken to the Dolby page and see what is offered ( games, movies, etc...) you can then purchase them from within the app

To adjust your headset volume, turn the volume wheel. To adjust system volume, you will need to check your console's user guide.
