The Ring Alarm Outdoor Contact Sensor is made up of two parts and is designed to monitor your outdoor windows and doors, as well as gates and sheds.   • QuestionDoes this need to be connected To Wi-Fi to work?

    • Answer Hi Angie. The Ring Alarm Outdoor Contact Sensor uses Z-Wave to communicate with the Ring Alarm Base Station, so it does not connect to wifi directly. It's also important to note that the Base Station is required for the Outdoor Contact Sensor, and the Base Station requires a wifi connection.   • QuestionHello, Can the alarm be scheduled to detect for particular days and times? We have landscapers who enter the yard but would like to have the security at night without having to manually turn something on and off.

    • Answer Hi JNaff. Yes, you can utilize the Mode Schedules feature to create a custom schedule that will arm and disarm your Ring Alarm. This schedule will allow you to set certain days and times where the Alarm is disarmed so your landscapers can enter the yard.     • Answer Hello Annie, Great question! Yes, Chirp Tones can be enabled for entry and exit on your Keypad for doors with a sensor attached. To do so, enable chirp tones in the app under the keypad device page to hear when a sensor is triggered.
