No. You need the chime with the wifi extender built in

The Ring Chime "Pro" version will help boost your wifi signal to your Ring doorbell. *Note that there are two versions - Ring Chime and a Ring Chime Pro. To boost your signal you need the Pro version. I only own the the Ring Chime version and have never used the Pro version but from reading reviews people have had mixed results for boosting their signal. Your mileage will vary no doubt as well. If you need to extend only your wifi, then go with a wifi range extender. Many companies make those and more than likely the same company as your router/access point. Hope that helps?

No the ring chime is just so you can hear the door bell from the ring camera better throughout the inside of your home
