- Answer Chime is just a chime. Chime pro is a chime with a built in wifi repeater, which can be handy if you need to boost your wifi signal near your ring doorbell.

QuestionDo I need the ring chimes to go with the ring doorbell? It maybe a stupid question but I really don’t know anything about this and want to purchase the correct devices.

- Answer You do not need the chime to go with the doorbell but if you do not have your cell phone by you... You may not hear it ring unless yours is hard wired. I am using the battery doorbells so the chime works for me incase my phone is on silent.

- Answer We live in a two story house. The Ring Chime is about 25 feet from the Doorbell. We had a little trouble so I moved it closer. Subsequent to buying the Ring Chime, we bought a Ring Chime Pro. Extending the Ring Chimes own wireless network fixed the problem. We now have one upstairs and one down stairs and life is good. Not a cheap solution but a perfect one. BBDPEG

- Answer I set up two Ring chimes for my mom. One downstairs and one upstairs in her house. You just go in the Ring Smartphone app and add each one and set them up.

QuestionI installed the Ring 2 doorbell for my mother so I can monitor who comes to her door, due to her age and for security. The app is on my phone so I can monitor it from my home. Does the ring chime help her to hear the doorbell in her home when it is rung?

- Answer Yes for a battery operated Ring 2; I don't know about a wired one. You can set the volume on the chime and can select the tone you want to hear when the doorbell rings.

- Answer If your ring doorbell is not hard wired this will be a nice addition to hear your doorbell ring if your cell phone is on silent. Just plug it in and add it to your app and your up and running. The tones they have are pretty loud, so yoh should be able to hear it through out your house.

- Answer I purchased a powered Ring door and Ring chime to replace the same old standard. Not sure about current prices but estimate $150-250. I installed myself.

- Answer If your phone,with the app, is with you you don’t need this. If you’re like me, I set my phone down and go to the back of the house or into the garage and don’t know when someone comes to the door. It’s loud enough to hear throughout the house. It only makes sense to have one.

- Answer If you already have a Ring doorbell, then this will work with it. It plugs into a regular outlet and links with the doorbell through wifi. I would check Ring's website to ensure it is compatible with your model.

- Answer Yes, a single chime will attach to multiple Ring doorbells. You can also attach multiple doorbells to multiple chimes. I have 2 Ring doorbells and 2 chimes. They all sync perfectly.

- Answer Hello, Thanks for reaching out. Our Floodlight Cam is an outdoor security camera, not a doorbell. Therefore, you can absolutely purchase our Floodlight Cam even with a wireless doorbell. However, please do note that in order to support its robust array of features, Floodlight Cam needs to be hardwired into a standard junction box. As Floodlight Cam requires a junction box as well as wiring up live wires, it's highly recommended you hire a licensed electrician to install Floodlight Cam. - Answer This is a digital bell which must be connected to wi-fi. It is designed specifically for use with the RING doorbell. Otherwise I do not see how it could be used.
