Great companion to Ring
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In all honesty, I feel that this product should be included with the base product. The unit was simple to setup, the foot print is small enough that it's not intrusive and it doesn't block the other open plug of the outlet, and the sound it makes is quite pleasant and not startling like a traditional doorbell typically is. My house has 2 floors and I plugged this in an outlet in the living room downstairs. I don't think this unit is really loud or strong enough to wake me upstairs if the doorbell rang, so I feel like I'll end up getting another unit for upstairs.

Ring a ding ding- go buy the Ring!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Ring floodlight and the Ring Chime. They were a breeze to install and only took about 30 minutes to get them up and displaying 1080p video on my new Note 8 phone. The installation is very user friendly and if you already have an existing floodlight , it is really easy to swap out the lights. The chime unit is loud and all you have to do is plug it in and follow the simple online instructions to set the wifi and sound you want it to play...You can even log in to your Ring floodlights on Any computer... the only downfall i have found is you can't control the videos from your computer. You can only see what has already been activated and recorded so there is a slight delay.. but of course you can control the floodlight system from your smart phone...I LOVE this system and plan to get the Ring doorbell as soon as I save up the money... thanks Ring....

Great if your doorbell is not wired!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our new house didn’t have a wired connection for the doorbell, so we bought this chime! I love it! It’s easy to set up and to use! I love all the options for the chimes, and it is so small that we can still use the second plug for something else. It’s got great sound and is loud enough (or soft enough whatever you prefer) that I can hear it all throughout the house. Great buy to go with the ring doorbell camera!

Great for knowing when someone comes to our home
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have 2 Ring doorbells and 1 Ring security light and I have the Chime extenders in my home, but when I’m in my backyard I wouldn’t know if someone came to our home if I didn’t have my phone with me so I ordered this and plugged it in at our patio and it works great. Now we easily know when someone comes to the house and the chime can easily be heard anywhere in our backyard because the sound is loud enough. This was a great addition to our Ring system. No one can sneak up on us now.

I Hear You !
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I REALLY like the Chime. It linked easily to my Ring. I Love the fact that there is a variety of notification sounds to choose from. The sound is clear well as the volume. I also like the fact that it has the word Ring illuminated, hence if it so happens to be knocked offline or is not connected the illumination would not be present. This was a Great Buy.

Works exactly how I expected.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation was a breeze, maybe 10 minutes total. Setup was simple. The battery took forever to charge but no complaints other that that. So far it is working exactly as expected. We’ve already had a kid walk up and walk away once they saw the camera. I also like that this model is secured through the door and the battery is inside where it can stay warm and work properly.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the ring chime. It enables me to hear the door bell on the other side of the house. There's no need to worry about missing a ring if my phone is in another room. I would definitely recommend the chime to my friends. It does everything it says.

Great addition to The Ring Security System!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When your phone ringer is muted it’s nice to have this chime to hear when someone rings the doorbell. You can also set it up so it chimes when movements are detected by the camera.

Q: QuestionWhat different the product for Ring between Chime And Chime Pro
Asked by Charles.
- A:Answer Chime is just a chime. Chime pro is a chime with a built in wifi repeater, which can be handy if you need to boost your wifi signal near your ring doorbell.

Q: QuestionDo I need the ring chimes to go with the ring doorbell? It maybe a stupid question but I really don’t know anything about this and want to purchase the correct devices.
Asked by Terri.
- A:Answer You do not need the chime to go with the doorbell but if you do not have your cell phone by you... You may not hear it ring unless yours is hard wired. I am using the battery doorbells so the chime works for me incase my phone is on silent.

Q: QuestionI live on 2nd & 3rd floor of unit. Please advise what is the Range of feet to plug in unit-since we are not near the front door?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer We live in a two story house. The Ring Chime is about 25 feet from the Doorbell. We had a little trouble so I moved it closer. Subsequent to buying the Ring Chime, we bought a Ring Chime Pro. Extending the Ring Chimes own wireless network fixed the problem. We now have one upstairs and one down stairs and life is good. Not a cheap solution but a perfect one. BBDPEG

Q: QuestionI installed the Ring 2 doorbell for my mother so I can monitor who comes to her door, due to her age and for security. The app is on my phone so I can monitor it from my home. Does the ring chime help her to hear the doorbell in her home when it is rung?
Asked by Mamasgirl.
- A:Answer Yes for a battery operated Ring 2; I don't know about a wired one. You can set the volume on the chime and can select the tone you want to hear when the doorbell rings.
