“The description states it has a do not disturb setting however under specs it states it does not have a silent mode. Under do not disturb setting it still functions? We will not ever want any sound coming from the chime, only want one to improve WiFi conn”

It will extend the Wi-Fi signal in your home and in those places where it is hard to get that signal. Yes, it is a bit more expensive, but you will have connection all over your home. Getting the Ring Chime Pro will not solve your problem!
