“What would prevent someone from just taping over the cam?”

• It would catch them walking up to try and tape it. I honestly feel like mine is more of a deterrent.

• Nothing, but you’d see them and have a video capture long before they get that tape on.

• Nothing. But they still have to walk up to it to tape it.

• They could easily tape over the camera but you'd be both notified by the motion sensor and see them do it almost real time/have the recording.

• You'll see who put the tape on the camera. And just go out and remove the tape!
