Yes, you would get at least a motion notification whole the door is moving, and if the knock sensitivity is super high you might get the "someone's at your door" notification, as sometimes if the door movement is rough or hard we get the knock warning versus the motion warning. However, if the door is left open the only way to know is to view the live picture. Trust me, no one can approach the door without being detected unless you have the motion detection sensitivity WAY down, so opening the door will absolutely trigger it.
