I had the same situation. Just drilled a half inch hole in the door...the rest is easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You definitely need a peep hole. Years ago, I had my peephole installed for $20 by a guy venturing into neighborhoods as houses were being built. Do your research to see which cost is best for you. Good Luck! You are going to LOVE it, I certainly do!

If you do not have a peephole, you may want to consider installing a Ring Door Video Doorbell. The Ring Door View Cam offers some of the same powerful array of features as our other smart doorbells including 1080p video Live View with night vision, two-way talk, and motion detection that can alert you when a visitor has come to the door. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can buy the Ring Video Doorbell 2 that is also wireless and at the same price and right now they have a promotion, they give you and Amazon Echo Dot for free ($50 value). I bought the Door View one because we live in a building where you cannot put devices on the walls, so this one works for me because we use it on the peephole of our door.
