A:AnswerYou can set the floodlight to go on with motion and you can set the time to stay on 3 minutes, 5 minutes. The light is not overly bright but takes great pictures at night or in the daytime.
A:AnswerThe performance of the camera varies greatly with ambient lighting. During the day, it sees well over 150 feet with pretty good clarity. Beyond 150 feet, you won’t make out faces of people, for example. At night, things get pretty grainy. The only things that show up well are those objects directly illuminated by the floodlight. In my case, the range is reduced to 50-60 feet.
A:AnswerHi Jerry,
Ring Floodlight Cam can only be mounted on an octagon or circular junction box.

A:AnswerThe floodlight camera is hardwired.
The wall switch must be kept on.
You can program when the light is on from the Ring app.
If you have another light on the same wall switch I would suggust a wifi Programmable Screw-In Light socket.

A:AnswerHi Murphnation,
Great question.
You are able to monitor your Ring device from as many different phones as you would like. For more information on how to do this, please check out the link below.

A:AnswerHi Alana,
Thanks for reaching out.
A dimming option is not available at this time, but stay tuned for future updates! Additionally, through the free Ring App, you can create a custom schedule for your floodlights. Using the app you can schedule your lights to turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, or you can create any other combinations to fit your personal schedule.
thanks,

A:AnswerThat would be a question for Vivint and interestingly enough I have Vivint also. I sort of doubt it is compatible though because Vivint's system is fairly proprietary. If you find they do work together, please let me know.
A:AnswerDepends on your needs. If you are placing it where an existing light is, then you can likely do it yourself. We had an electrician install one of ours since a new line had to be run to the location where we wished to place it.
