- Answer The camera uses 2.4GHz. A signal from inside the house will work just fine as long as it’s within range. Mine is on my garage and connected to our WiFi router inside the house. No issues at all.

- Answer No it needs to be installed by electrician to nearest power outlet. But well worth the Cost of @ $125. We now have several on my street, We have noticed a lot less traffic and no thiefts that I know of. $3 per month per device to have ring monitor as well as see from your phone.

- Answer Absolutely. I removed the old worn out motion floodlight and simply wired into existing light outlet. Just be sure to not turn off that outlet! The WiFi is throng enough in the house thankfully. This unit would have to connect to WiFi.

- Answer Unsure on how many linens if would use as mine turns on upon a detection of motion. As far as it detecting a person in the street yes it is legal for you to record that, many times if things get stolen you need to see which way they go or what vehicle they may be in there are many reasons you need and want to see in the street when monitoring your home with security cameras.

QuestionI installed a hard wire floodlight with Camera for my back deck. For some reason, my light will come on during the knight or even early evening all by itself. I would think if the motion is detecting movement, my chime would activate. The flood comes on

- Answer It is either picking up your chime or the noise. My hummingbird feeder swaying sets mine off sometimes.

- Answer You set a motion area as it relates to the covered area of your camera. In theory, there is no set distance. In the Ring app, you create an activation field and anything that moves in the field you created will alert it. The camera is 1080p so it looks sharp. Of course, far away objects will look small.

Floodlight Cam Wired Plus security camera must be installed on a 4“ round UL listed weatherproof electrical box. Ring Floodlight Cam should be connected to a 110 VAC~240 VAC 50/60 Hz power source. Before you begin installing your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus, outdoor security camera, make sure that you’re following safety code standards. Installation by a qualified electrician may be required in your area. Make sure to refer to your local laws and building codes before performing electrical work; permits plus professional installation may be required by law. - Answer If it’s only 100’ and in an open environment with no obstacles in the way you should be just fine. I’ve installed well over 100 RING devices over the past 3-4 years and they’re products are pretty durable and very dependable.

- Answer It will. I’ve installed these on soffits 3 floors up (2 story home on a basement) and the picture quality and motion sending wasn’t deterred at all. Now I’m sure in some instances it could be effected such as temp and obstacles. But for the most part you should be just fine
