Not hard wired, they have batteries or you can buy the solar panels to keep them charged
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had this set up for almost a year. I like the system but I find a few things disappointing. The doorbell can be hard wired to your existing doorbell setup. This is fantastic as it will chime using your preexisting ringer. I've never had to worry about the battery power and it's pretty reliable. I have two additional cameras. One is wired through a window and plugged in using a micro usb cable that comes with it. I've found this to be mostly reliable. The second camera is connected to a solar panel. I like the idea of this because the camera is in a location that does not have a power source. The panel has to be in direct sunlight. If it isn't the camera will not charge. I set this system up in a few hours and that includes all parts of installation for door ringer, two additional cameras and a door bell camera. If you are able to plug the cameras into an outlet I find this is the best way to get reliable functionality. The setup for wireless access through the app is simple and pretty straight forward as the app guides you through setup. If you have power surges or your router gets reset you might have to reconnect cameras to the app. I have had to do this multiple times. It makes it very difficult when you are away from home. I find this system to be 80% reliable as long as the WiFi signal is strong and my power isn't interrupted. I suggest you purchase it from a place that will allow you to return it if you aren't happy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They don't need to be hardwired. Each camera has a rechargeable battery. The front doorbell can be hooked into your old doorbell's wiring is you'd like. The stickup cameras can be wired with a solar panel. I have mine on the batteries. so far the one camera that gets the most use I've already needed to recharge the others are at 50% I am guessing they'll last another month or two,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This kit does not require hard wiring. They have built in Batteries that need recharging, depending on their usage. I would recommend wiring the doorbell if you have an existing one, but it is unnecessary.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Doorbell can be wired or battery. Two outdoor are battery operated and either recharged couple times a year or replenished by solar charger they sell for 59 bucks
