A:AnswerMy house is 85 ft wide, my wifi is on one end, camera on the other, worked but barely, wound up getting a mesh node, and that's really recommended for that distance.
A:Answerdon't waste your money. All the indoor cams audio went out and stopped recording sound. and this was inside the house. Ring was great at replacing, once you got someone from being on hold 30 min., but some had to be replaced twice,
go with the wired indoor /outdoor stickup cam. have of 5 of those outside and in garage in northwest. so below zero they're still working after 3 years.
A:Answeryes. Wifi is required. 2.4 ghz. Small Technical tip: (Ignore if it sounds too techy Doesn't apply to everyone)
if you live in a congested neighborhood with lots of wifi signals and camera isn't picking it up very well. Change WIFI channel to 11. Normally i believe it uses channel 6. but it can busy and some Wifi Routers have a hard time with this and the camera will reflect that not working properly and wifi going out. BUT changing mine to channel 11 i've dramatically seen a change with No wifi signal drops.
A:AnswerYou have to buy a subscription but it’s only 10 /month and you have video unlimited video storage, and anyway most camera systems have a cloud that you need to pay
