Battery operated
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this model does not need to be wired. That is why I bought it. I did not want the hassle as I did not have an active doorbell. It is battery operated and will need to plug the chime in an indoor outlet. The peephole is self explanatory. It's a small hole that you are able to view from inside your home (door) to the outside. It has a small cover in case you also want the "peephole" closed (from the inside). The hole has a glass covering. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a battery that does need to be charged. Peephole means the place in your door that is used to look out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The product is battery operated and comes with a rechargeable battery. You can purchase a duplicate battery to use as a back-up when the original needs to be recharged. This version of the ring product line assumes you have a front door with a "peep hole" already drilled. If that is not the case, ring has standard door bell replacements too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This unit has a removable rechargeable battery on the back which faces the inside of your house once installed Some solid front doors don’t have a peep hole; they may have a small window or just be solid. However, many home & apartment doors do have a small peep hole at eye level to view the area immediately outside your door, allowing you to view someone standing outside.
