- Answer There are several versions of the ring doorbell. This particular version assumes you have a front door with a pre-drilled peephole. The product fits into an existing peephole with the doorbell outside and the battery housing inside.

- Answer No you don’t need to but you will only be able to view live video no recording. The monthly fee is 3 dollars for one camera or 10 dollars for unlimited cameras

- Answer Suggest doing a YouTube review to install a door peephole and go through the process of drilling the hole (size of drill bit, etc.). After the hole is in them just follow the Ring instructions.

QuestionI have a storm door as well as the normal front door with peephole. Would the camera be able to see through the storm door? My front door also faces the west. Does that impact quality of video as the sun is setting?

- Answer I do know that when you are setting it up, it does ask you if a door is in front of the camera, I do not know why but I'm assuming that it captures everything even with your door in front of it.

- Answer Both. The camera and door bell button for on the outside of the door. The battery on the inside and the peephole glass through the door. The chime goes inside somewhere in a wall outlet.

- Answer You can purchase installation at BestBuy. The install price at my BestBuy was $99. It was worth it because I did not have an existing peephole. It is quite easy to install though.

- Answer As long as you have your chime set up with the door bell, and you also have it set up on ur phone then everytime the door is opened (as long as if he or someone is in front of the camera) the chime will be very loud coming to your phone. And alerting you.
