I do know that when you are setting it up, it does ask you if a door is in front of the camera, I do not know why but I'm assuming that it captures everything even with your door in front of it.

Doors that close in front of the Peephole Cam, like screens and storm doors, can have an impact on the Peephole Cam's functionality. Glass doors usually let you see the camera's view, but you will need to turn off the night vision LEDs in the device settings, or the glass door will reflect them back into the camera, obstructing its view. Metal and mesh screens may partially or fully obstruct the camera's view and may also reflect the night vision LEDs. If Motion Detection is enabled, most outer doors will also prevent motion from being detected by Door View Cam until the outer door is opened. We would love to go over your environment with you directly, to ensure we are answering these questions with the most accuracy.
