  • QuestionWhy is my ring door bell video always like this at night could it be a defective one? Everything works fine except during night time video is horrible.

    Asked by Yeoj.

    • Answer Hello Yeojldl, We can understand the importance of the video displaying correctly. During the day, the videos should be viewed in color and not in Night Vision mode. Please know that we are here to ensure that we can get the doorbell to respond correctly to the environment. A great first step is to check the power supply. If you have sufficient power, your Ring Video Doorbell Pro may need a hard reset. To complete the reset, please hold the setup button (located under the faceplate on the right side) down for 15 consecutive seconds and then release. The doorbell will take about one minute to complete the reset. Please allow a couple of minutes and then attempt a brand-new set up within the Ring app. Once the new setup is complete, please test the doorbell for improvement. If the steps above don't get the doorbell working as designed, please check out our community forum at https://community.ring.com/ for some additional tips and support. We would love the opportunity to connect with you to ensure your doorbell is performing as intended and turn your experience around. All the best, Antonio from Ring

  • QuestionWhen i installed my ring pro its worked for 7-8 hours but now its no more ringing and connecting to internet!

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Weak and inconsistent wifi signal is the most common issue. Try using an RSSI signal tester app from your phone. (Air Port Utility on the iPhone.). You may need a wifi extender. Wiring could be an issue, thin wire can break or have a short. Maybe your chime is causing an issue. Take it out of the wiring loop and see what happens. The transformer may also be underpowered and need upgrading. A 24V 30-40A is best. 10V will not cut it and some have issues with 16V, especially older ones. They are usually as old as the house and need replacing. The Pro does have a small internal battery that is charge by the wires and takes an hour or so to fully charge as well.

  • QuestionI have the ring protect plan with my alarm and cameras. if I buy a refurbished doorbell instead of a new one, will that refurbished doorbell also be covered by the lifetime warranty (as long as I have my ring protect plan)?

    Asked by stuman74.

    • Answer Reply to Ring: Thanks for the quick reply, but does not exactly answer my question. The ring.com site (and BB and Amazon) all offer a refurbed Ring Pro doorbell at a reduced price. They all say 1-year warranty. Your reply says the ORIGINAL date of purchase which is confusing....original when it was NEW or original even when purchased as a refurb? Since I do already have Ring Protect Plus on my account for the past couple years, adding this new-to-me REFURB Ring Pro doorbell should still qualify for the extended coverage as long as I maintain the Ring Protect Plus plan. Correct? Thank you.
