  • QuestionWill Best Buy install this for me?

    Asked by PCS.

    • Answer There’s really no installation to it. There’s two screws on the back plate, and then the light twist and snaps on.

  • QuestionCan this light be used as motion sensor light only, without the bridge or app?

    Asked by HFamily.

    • Answer Yes, I don't have the bridge app and it works just fine I was hoping it would have smart functions but you must have the bridge for any of those functions to work. It does serve the purpose I was looking for when purchasing it though battery powered and motion sensing. The light could be a little brighter but being battery powered it is probably best that it isn't. Wouldn't want to spend a ton on batteries.

With Light Schedules, you can set separate schedules such as morning and night or utilize the built-in Dusk to Dawn to have your lights illuminated at a low lumen level at daybreak and sunset. The following products currently have the Light Schedules feature: Smart Solar Steplight Smart Solar Pathlight Smart Solar Floodlight Smart Light Floodlight Wired Smart Lighting Transformer Smart Lighting PAR38 LED Lightbulb Smart Lighting A19 LED Lightbulb The Ring Bridge is the central point for connecting all Ring Smart Lighting products. • QuestionCan this light be turned on and off using the ring app without having to purchase other or additional ring equipment?

    Asked by sajoco246.

    • Answer Hello No, without the Ring Smart Bridge, your Ring Smart Lighting Floodlight functions only as standard motion-sensing lights. With a bridge, you can control whole groups of lights at once and be notified via the Ring App when any light or motion sensor senses movement. Also the Ring Bridge built into the Echo (4th gen or later) or the Echo Show 10 (3rd gen or later) eliminates the need to purchase an additional Ring Bridge device to use Ring Smart Lighting and existing hardware, adopting Ring Smart Lighting into your security system. • QuestionI have a Bridge in my Home will that work and battery life?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello, The Ring Smart Lighting Battery Powered Floodlight is powered by four D-cell Batteries (not included). The battery life is one year under normal use (8-10 light activations a day at Level 8 brightness, 20 seconds duration). It is important to note that battery life is dependent on device settings, usage, and other factors. Additionally, the brightness may decrease as the battery life is depleted. The Ring Smart Lighting Battery Powered Floodlight can be connected to the Ring Bridge (sold separately) to enable smart controls in the Ring App, and sync with other Ring Smart Lights, Ring doorbells and cameras, as well as select Alexa-enabled devices. If you have an Amazon Echo (4th gen) or an Echo Show 10 (3rd gen), your ability to coordinate your Ring Smart Lighting has expanded thanks to the device’s built-in Ring Bridge. The link below will answer commonly asked questions concerning setting up and using the built-in Ring Bridge in the Amazon Echo (4th gen or later) or the Echo Show 10 (3rd gen or later) with the Ring App. https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059329551-Using-your-Echo-devices-as-a-Smart-Lighting-Bridge If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/.
