• A:Answer They tend to activate on a 180 degree in front of the camera (more than the camera image can see). In terms of distance away I would say it depends on how angeled up or down the camera is but several (10 or 15 feet) away. Be sure to consider the flood cam also for over a garage. It has much brighter light.
