Q: Questionis the compatible with solar?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes. And easy to convert. If you do switch to a solar panel, the app may ask you if you want to switch your camera to "wired mode" select "no" because it must stay in battery mode for the solar panel to charge the battery.

Q: QuestionIf it gets unplugged will it stop working immediately or wait til the battery dies??
Asked by Amber.
- A:Answer Hello Amber, Good question! The Ring Stick Up Wired uses a Barrel Plug style indoor/outdoor power supply (included), so there is no internal battery on this device. Further, it is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connections @ 2.4GHz. If it gets unplugged it will lose it's wifi connection and not be able to communicate with your wifi network or the Ring App to send notifications or record videos. Please let us know if you have any other questions we can answer for you. Thank you, Alexis at Ring

Q: QuestionDoes the motion detection work outside if the camera is placed inside in a window?
Asked by Pyr5.
- A:Answer Hello Pyr5, Great question. Motion detection is a valuable feature that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home Windows generally block heat sources, which means when the Ring device uses PIR (Passive Infrared) to detect motion, the Ring device will not be able to detect the motion through a window. All the best, Antonio from Ring

Q: QuestionWhat accessories go with this ? What's in the box ? Does it have to be hard wired, or does it come with an adaptor ?
Asked by Camera31326.
- A:Answer With the wired version, you get the camera and tools needed to mount camera along with the cord. It does not come with a battery. Now if you want it to work off battery and or solar panel, I would suggest you to just buy the wireless one and buy the solar panel. Reason: the wired one does not come with a battery, but you can buy one for 30 bucks...and a solar panel for 50 bucks....but as of right now, the wired camera and the wireless camera both cost the same price. So you would save 30 bucks buying the wireless one and adding a solar panel to it.

Q: QuestionDoe the wired sstickup camera/ and light wired camera come with battery so if there is a power outage it will still work
Asked by Muntz.
- A:Answer To answer your question, no the wired ones do not come with a battery. If you have a power outage....your wifi router or routers will also be down unless you run them off back up power as well. If you have an internet outage, nothing will work because ring is based off of wifi and the internet. Hope that helped a lil bit.
