It should work with any WiFi extender, the Chime Extender mainly allows it to be further from your router. The regular Ring Chime lacks the external antennas so range isn’t great.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Ring Doorbell will connect to any WiFi signal you have the login information for. Not only can you use any extender, I’ve also found that using the Ring extender actually worsens connectivity in certain situations. You’re better off avoiding the Ring extender, using your own WiFi extender, and then adding a regular Ring chime instead.
