You have to buy the solar housing specifically for the doorbell. The camera solar panels won't work with the doorbell. From some reviews, the solar housing really doesn't do a great job keeping the batteries charged. I ended up purchasing an extra battery so I could just swap them out as needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about solar but what I did to my ring door bell was cut one of the ac adapter and attached for backup change. It is working since day one. AC adapter 18v is good for all time 100%. Hope this will help you. Thank you.
