Yes you can down load the ring app on your phone and it works with your WiFi

My Ring is connect thr the Ring app on my phone. When at home my phone is connected to the WIFI so I don't hv to use my phone data plan. Whether you are at home or out and about, when someone is within the doorbell's range, your phone will sound an alert. If someone pushes the button, your phone will alert you with a loud doorbell ring.
