• this will work if your WiFi is strong enough to pick up the signal. I think you should ask RING (their support is really helpful), if you "hard wire" it, will you still need to rely on your WiFi signal. It may be that a RING camera would work better for the purpose your describe, as opposed to the ring doorbell, because you would not be having anyone ring the doorbell at the gate. Just a thought>
