It actually gets mounted on your entryway with screws that are covered after install is complete. Ring also states it will replace if it gets stolen but a police report needs to be made. If you go on the Ring website it will explain all the details. This company thought of everything!

Instead, it's protected by theft by Ring. They will replace it if it's stolen, because the video is saved to their server, so it's likely they would have at least some sort of video of the person stealing it and can turn that over to the police. whatever they do with it, you get a replacement doorbell if it's stolen within a certain number of years.
