The app will let you select notifications. My Echo Show 5 announces that someone is at the door.

You set up the Amazon show after the ring. It will show video on the show and a sound.

Yes, you can install with just the battery. It will notify and ring on the echo show when someone is at the front door.

No! The sound will come through your phone. If you do tha wired it will come in your house

Yes, it will announce on the alexa show and also can notify you on your phone. Only draw back is the down time when you need to charge it. Does go a long time on each charge.
