• As long as your wifi is working, it'll record. If your WiFi goes down, it won't record.

• PC does not need to be on at all times for the product to function. Ring 2 functions independently with my iphone.

• It works independently once you setup ring to your wifi.

• It is independent of your computer system. The bell will function like a normal doorbell. If you have a phone or an iPad you can use the app to see and speak to the person at the door. You will need to use the app to view video and change the settings.

• Completely independent. The ring 2 is essentially a low power computer that is always connected to WiFi and always running. It runs and works as long as it’s batteries/ has power, and wireless internet access.
