“If it is run on battery power can someone just remove the battery or is there a lock on the battery to remove it Can it be hard wired and then run on battery if the electricity goes out”

Yes, the Ring Doorbell battery is fully charged, if you have existing doorbell already installed you can wire Ring direct, Next place battery in ( battery stays installed wired or not ) wired battery will stay charged and if not you will eventually have to charge again. Please note: battery will always be placed in the Ring Doorbell when in use. Good Luck
